Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Car Scheme

Perhaps you or someone you know could spare a couple of hours per week to take those in need of transport to the hospital or to do their weekly shopping. Remember, you get the satisfaction of helping people in your community.

Volunteer Car Scheme

CDM operate a Volunteer Car Scheme involving local volunteers who drive their own vehicles to bring registered members to a wide range of appointments.  This service is not just a mode of transport from A to B it provides a friendly face and companionship for both the passenger and driver.

Volunteer drivers receive genuine out of pocket expenses for mileage and refreshment expenses (as permitted by HMRC guidelines) but in addition receive immense satisfaction by giving a little something back to their local community.

Who can volunteer for the Car Scheme?

If you are over 21 and hold a full clean driving licence and have access to a vehicle.  Please note that all volunteers are subject to an Access NI check.
